As Barcelona prepare to host Real Madrid in tonight’s El Clasico, the Fan Park Crew thought it will be good to select a combined XI.
This is probably one of the toughest combined XI teams that we have ever had to make and it took hours for Blaugrana and Los Blanco to make their selections.
Here Is Our Combined El Clasico XI:
Goalkeeper: Iker Casillas
With Barcelona still deciding who their number one is, we thought Casillas gets the position by default.
Right-Back: Dani Alves
The right back is now well in his 30’s, but is still one of the best attacking wing-backs around.
Centre-Back: Sergio Ramos
He might be a little reckless at times, but the Spaniard has lots of experience and scores vital goals.
Centre-Back: Javier Mascherano
Usually a centre midfielder, but can cover at centre-back when asked too. We find he is better on the ball than Pepe.
We like have two attacking full-backs and Marcelo is head and shoulders better than Alba.
Centre-Midfield: Toni Kroos
When you looking for goals you need a creator and the 2014 Playmaker of the Year walks into the team this time.
Centre-Midfield: Sergio Busquets
Not sure if he might play, but if available Busquets does a great job of holding the midfield.
Centre-Midfield: Andres Iniesta
The veteran might not be having one of his best seasons for Barcelona, but has the quality to make things happen.
Left Wing: Cristiano Ronaldo
I don’t think this selection takes much justification…
Striker: Lionel Messi
Another easy selection, especially considering his current form.
Right Wing: Neymar
The Brazilian captain hasn’t scored much recently, but creates a lot and has the ability to make something out of nothing.
