Winger Lindokuhle Mbatha has been given a good run with Sundowns in the latter stages of the Premier Soccer League season and he has given fans a glimpse of the form he showed when he shined for Platinum Stars.
Prior to his increase in game time, Mbatha faced a frustrating spell on the fringes, trying to break into the first team at Chloorkop.
In this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Mbatha opens up about his situation at the club and how he has coped when knowing he had to train but not feature in the next game.
When speaking about staying motivated, he said: “It’s okay when you have someone you stay with at home. That’s what made me happy because I always know that when I come back from training, there is someone at home who’s going to talk to me and encourage me.”
Mbatha mentioned that his father is the one who had helped him the most, as well as coach Pitso Mosimane being another motivating factor for him.
“I’m talking about my father here. He always tells me that I must keep working hard and that things will fall into place. The coach has also been very helpful in giving guidance where needed.
“I won’t lie to you, Pitso Mosimane is one of the best coaches. He loves to learn about the game. He has taught us a lot and there are things I now know that I didn’t know before joining Mamelodi Sundowns,” he added.
With that said, do you feel that Mbatha will be a hit at Chloorkop if he stays motivated going forward?
