Mamelodi Sundowns made their mark on African soil yesterday when they registered a 2-0 win over Leones Vegetariano in their first CAF Champions League encounter of the season. Striker Jeremy Brockie was among the goals and scored with one of his signature volleys. Did you see it?
Downs will return home with a healthy advantage in their preliminary CAF Champions League tie, with coach Pitso Mosimane earmarking the tournament's trophy as one of the club's targets this season.
The tie also saw former Ajax Cape Town defender Rivaldo Coetzee make his first-team debut for the Chloorkop team after spending a lengthy spell on the touchline due to a foot injury.
As for Brockie, he was handed a rare start by Mosimane and did not disappoint after scoring with a first-time volley that fans would no doubt have appreciated.
Themba Zwane, who had a splendid game as well, provided a pin-point cross into the box and the New Zealander timed his shot perfectly, smashing the ball into the back of the net with his weaker left foot.

Do you think Brockie can get back to his best with the Brazilians?
