It’s quite astonishing that this topic is actually up for debate, with Real Madrid still challenging on all fronts, but with the suggested 'implosion' recently, the pressure on Ancelotti has increased dramatically.
We may be trailing La Liga by one point after leading for so many months, but some seem to forget that the season is not done and we are still able to win silverware.
I’m going to give you three reasons why I think Ancelotti should not be sacked:
Ancelotti Has A Proven Track Record In Europe
Being a dominant force in Europe is always a necessity when coaching Real Madrid, and what the Italian achieved last season was remarkable. We have chased La Decima for years and went through many managers, but Ancelotti was able to do it in his first season. He also has a proven record in Europe as he has won the trophy twice with former side AC Milan, and even lifted it as a player twice.
He Wins Trophies
We might be seeing our players struggling at the moment, but the Italian is able to get the best out of them and that is can be proved as he won four titles last season. It’s not every day you hear of a side winning four titles in a season and we need to be realistic that this can’t be achieved every season. A win in El Clasico this weekend will put us top of La Liga again and one step closer to yet another trophy.
Who Would Replace Him?
It will be very difficult to find someone with a better CV than Carlo Ancelotti, and those who could compete are already contracted to big teams. I don’t think we will see the likes of Pep Guardiola ever come to Madrid, and I personally wouldn’t like Mourinho back after his problems with the squad. We have to be patient with Ancelotti and give him the respect he deserves.
Do you agree that Ancelotti shouldn’t be sacked?
