Bafana Bafana play Nigeria next month in an AFCON qualifier next month. Could these South Africans get called up to the team? Check it out!
When the likes of Percy Tau, Kermit Erasmus and Phakamani Mahlambi were called up to the last Bafana squad, fans were buzzing, but there were still a few exclusions that had some supporters surprised.
With an away clash against Nigeria coming up on 9 June, South Africans will hope to see the most in-form players out on the field, and is there any SA player impressing more at the moment than Bongani Zungu is at Vitoria de Guimaraes?
The midfielder has put in displays worthy enough to attract interest from clubs in Germany and England, and would be more than an asset to Stuart Baxter's Bafana side.
Strikers Dino Ndlovu and Tokelo Rantie could also possibly be looked at for the squad as both have scored some vital goals for their respective sides in Europe.
22-year-old Tyroane Sandows is another option Baxter could look to explore, with the player perhaps able to bring more flair to the team since he's been playing in Brazil since 2010.
The Gremio forward could add an exciting element to the squad, where he could link up well with the likes of Tau and Keagan Dolly!
Brondby IF midfielder Lebogang Phiri is also a player perhaps deserving of a call-up for the Nigeria match, as is May Mahlangu, although it has to be said that Bafana do have a strong midfield at the moment.
Would you call any of these stars up to Bafana?
