In our next installment of the transfer market report card, the Fan Park crew assesses Kaizer Chiefs’ relatively quiet transfer window.
With only David Zulu having arrived at Naturena, and Kingston Nkhatha having made the switch to SuperSport United, here is how the crew have rated the Amakhosi’s transfer window.
Here's the key for the rating:
5 - Excellent Business
4 - Good Deal
3 - Average
2 - It is ok
1 - Bad business for the team
Players Coming In:
David Zulu (Chippa United)
The striker may have only five league goals to his name, but he has shown some tremendous skill and technique this season. His solo strike against Orlando Pirates was one that likely grabbed the attention of the Chiefs' management. He is considered to be a valuable asset for the club following the departure of Kingston Nkhatha.
Players Going Out:
Kingston Nkhatha (SuperSport United)
After months of dealing with the Boo Boys, Nkhatha opted for a move to SuperSport United in hope of starting afresh. While he may have missed several chances in front of goal, his work rate for the club was nearly unmatched and he gave his all for the team. In a mixed bag of reaction by the fans, he will be missed to some extent at the club.
Players Staying At Chiefs:
While Itumeleng Khune remaining at the club for the remainder of the season is excellent news, the fact that he is yet to pen in a deal is a concern. This is why his stay doesn’t get full marks just yet…
Khosi fans, what are your thoughts on Chiefs’ transfer market? Could it have been better?
