Having hit top form this season, the Kaizer Chiefs locker room can boast some of the most in-form players in the Premier Soccer League at the moment. Today the Fan Park crew will take a look at some Naturena stars and make comparisons of them and world superstars.
George Lebese – Marco Rues
Both natural left-wingers, the duo boast similarities in terms of their deftness and silky dribbling skills on the ball, while Reus is a better finisher than the young Kaizer Chiefs man.
Tsepo Masilela – Philip Lahm
Arguably the best left-back in the world, Lahm’s small frame has not held him back in becoming one of the world’s best defenders. Masilela and Lahm are very much similar with regards to defending in one-on-one situations, going forward and having the tenacity to win back the ball at all costs.
Eric Mathoho – Sergio Ramos
Being the best defender in the PSL, we can only but compare Tower to one of the best defenders in Europe, Sergio Ramos. Mathoho and Ramos are similar in the sense that their man-marking, composure on the ball and physicality are very much on point in every single game.
Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Willard Katsande – Cesc Fabregas And Nemanja Matic
The Chelsea duo of Fabregas and Matic have formed arguably one of the strongest midfield combos in Europe. Matic is the hard-man in front of the back-four, with Fabregas pulling the strings in the middle of the park. The same can be said about Yeye and Katsande here in South Africa, as they have proven to be two of the best central midfielders in the country. While Katsande gets stuck in, Yeye dictates the flow of the game.
What other comparisons can you make?
