Could Chiefs be preparing for a goalkeeper exit? It seems possible, as the Siya Crew have reported that the club could be pinning down the services of Shandu Mulovhedzi.
The youngster is part of the club’s youth academy and he was promoted to the team after injury sidelined Itumeleng Khune for months at the start of the current campaign.
He has been training alongside Brilliant Khuzwayo, Reyaad Pieterse and Khune throughout the season, and it certainly seems that he could be handed a professional contract by Bobby Motaung.
The goalkeeping department has been a highly discussed topic at Naturena this term, with Khune’s expiring contract undoubtedly causing a stir - as he is yet to put pen-to-paper for a contract extension.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Pieterse’s future with the team will largely depend on whether or not Khune remains at the club…
Should Khune or Pieterse leave, a new shot-stopper will have to be signed and that could very well be Mulovhedzi. And with him just a signature away from joining the first team, it could very well mean that management is gearing up for a goalkeeper exit, one way or another…
Khosi fans, do you think this is the case? Who do you think it will be?
