Lebohang Mokoena has extended his stay with Mamelodi Sundowns for at least another season, and this, I feel, is a great move made by the club.
Cheeseboy may have featured considerably less for Ka Bo Yelo this season compared to the previous campaign, but that may be down to the player gradually working his way back into the starting XI from injury.
The former Orlando Pirates trickster was one of coach Pitso Mosimane’s star performers in last season’s league title winning campaign, and will no doubt be an asset for Jingles this time around, should he stay injury free.
On the field of play, the midfield foursome of Cheeseboy, Teko Modise, Khama Billiat and Bongani Zungu clicked ever so well last season and we can only but hope they will reunite soon on the pitch.
Also, it was reported that Downs are keen on keeping talented winger Themba Zwane at the club, as they have offered the 25-year-old a new three-year deal.
This comes as good news for the fans, as we know Zwane is one of the rising talents in South African football. Along with Zungu, Zwane earned himself a call up to the national side a couple of times this year and will no doubt be hoping to establish himself in Downs' team going forward.
Are you happy with Cheeseboy’s extension, and would you be happy if Zwane extends his stay Chloorkop?
