Lehlohonolo Majoro was heavily criticised by Bafana Bafana head coach, Shakes Mashaba, for his display in national team colours… So, we have to ask, how will he bounce back for Pirates in the CAF Confederation Cup?
The striker was on the receiving end of some harsh analysis after he was withdrawn from the match against Swaziland before the first half had even come to an end.
Mashaba’s words would’ve undoubtedly stung the confidence of Major, who was then benched for the next game against Nigeria, only to come on in the 73rd minute.
This is the second Bafana camp that has seen Majoro fail to impress Shakes, and it remains to be seen how he will handle all the pressure when he returns for the CCL match against URA.
Majoro scored in the first leg of the clash, and with the scoreline delicately poised at 2-1 in favour of Eric Tinkler’s charges, the former AmaZulu man’s expertise will be needed to seal qualification into the next round.
Fellow Bucs, do you think Majoro will be able to recover and prove Mashaba wrong?
