We always seem to keep our fans on the tip of their toes, especially when it comes to introducing exciting talents at the Orlando Stadium season after season.
This season we have seen Thabo Rakhale make a name for himself in the Premier Soccer League in what seems to be a movement of re-establishing what ‘Kasi Flavour’ is into our local game, with a string of fearless yet skilful football displays.
Let’s not forget, Senegalese midfielder Issa Sarr familiarized himself to the Ghost faithful this season in powerful fashion after proving to be a rock solid anchor in the middle of the park alongside Oupa Manyisa.
Next in line could be young Menzi Masuku. If his recent performance against SuperSport United last week is anything to go by, Mzansi may well witness yet another star in the making.
It seems then that for us, the surname Masuku can only spell trouble for opposition defenders as fellow midfielder Khethokwakhe Masuku is an exciting player himself. Against SSU last week, the winger was given a rare run in the starting XI and shined nonetheless.
Next season will without a doubt be a big one for both Masuku’s as one would be looking to impress and the other to reinstate himself in the starting line-up. We are a team in a rebuilding phase and with these exciting players poised to give us a new identity, exciting times are soon to hit Mayfair.
Along with Rakhale, do you think both Masukus could thrill fans next season?
