In 2012, talkSPORT reported that Manchester United had confirmed the signing of world superstar athlete, Usain Bolt. It was said that the world-record sprinter was tired of his athletics career, and was after a new challenge at Old Trafford.
Maradona Begins Dating Madonna
In 1989, an Italian TV Chanel claimed that Diego Maradona was dating word-famous singer, Madonna, but it turned out to be an April Fool’s joke. The Argentine didn’t enjoy the joke, and was angered that there were reports saying that he was cheating on his wife.
CR7 Signs For Spain!
It was once reported that Cristiano Ronaldo would be sold to Spain for £160 million, as Portugal needed to cover some of their debts. The Independent reported that the Portuguese star had agreed to the deal, but obviously - April Fools!
Abramovich Appoints Himself As Chelsea Boss
In 2013, Rafael Benitez was the unpopular boss of Chelsea, and talkSPORT reported that the owner of the Blues, Roman Abramovich had appointed himself as the new manager of his club!
