Coach Stuart Baxter has urged his side to remain calm and relaxed ahead of the final games of the season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Baxter mentioned that the squad will try and take things one game at a time in the run-in period of the season.
“The last games of the season bring different challenges. Every team is fighting for something at this stage of the season,” Baxter said.
Regarding the game against the University of Pretoria in the Absa Premiership tonight, Baxter added, “Tuks are a challenge, because they are looking to get into the Top 8. We just have to relax and continue to take each game at a time. There are no easy games.”
Also, with Itumeleng Khune injured, Baxter will sit down with the goal keeping department and choose between Reyaad Pieterse and Brilliant Khuzwayo as a replacement for Khune, despite Khuzwayo being the preferred choice this season.
“This team has what it takes to win the title. Working hard is the order of the day to win games. Every player must show wanting to be part of the team. Itumeleng Khune is suspended. However, Brilliant Khuzwayo and Reyaad Pieterse have been doing well as replacements. On who will be in goal against Tuks - it's a call I will make together with the goalkeeping department,” he concluded.
