Yesterday, the South African Football Association revealed a list of 10 coaching candidates who are in line for the Bafana Bafana job, but which tactician has won the most trophies? Let’s take a look!
The list comprised a number of big names, including former Inter Milan and Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini as well as German World Cup winner Lothar Matthaus.
Former Orlando Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral was the only name on the list that has coached in the PSL, but his identity was only revealed because he is currently unattached.
Carlos Queiroz, who has long been tipped as the favourite for the positon, was not specified as he is still formally contracted to his position as Iran's coach.
In total, the former Bafana Bafana man has won five trophies as a coach, while the tactician with the most pieces of silverware to his name used to head up the bench at Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Italy and Ireland.
