More than 100 footballers have turned out for the national team since 1992, but what would a starting XI of the players with the most caps look like?
Aaron Mokoena still holds the record for the most appearances in the South Africa jersey, and it seems many players still have a long way to go to catch up with him.
Siphiwe Tshabalala follows shortly after the former Blackburn Rovers defender, and he, alongside Itumeleng Khune and Siboniso Gaxa, are the only two players in our XI who currently still plying their trade in the Absa Premiership.
Our coach would be Clive Barker, and he would lead the team using a 4-3-3 formation.
GK Itumeleng Khune – Caps: 74
LB Mark Fish – Caps: 62
CB Aaron Mokoena – Caps: 107
