Kaizer Chiefs' strikers, as we know, have endured a difficult spell in front of goal, with neither of their talented hitmen proving to be prolific goal getters in recent times.
However, two seasons ago Amakhosi did have a hitman in the squad in Lehlohonolo Majoro, who often scored some crucial goals.
What led to Major’s exit at the club were his frequent appearances on the bench at Chiefs, ultimately frustrating the striker to the point of leaving Naturena for historic rivals Orlando Pirates. The player has now settled with Pirates, and is hitting top gear - so now we ask, are Chiefs regretting the sale of Major?
At the moment, coach Stuart Baxter has the likes of Bernard Parker, Siphelele Mthembu, David Zulu and Katlego Mphela to choose from to lead the attacking line. However, none of them are showing the form that Majoro currently is.
It’s clear that Majoro always had it in himself to become a great goal scorer, and all he needed was a chance to play and prove himself. This was something he was not afforded at Chiefs, and when given the platform at Pirates, he has not disappointed.
Chiefs are now faced with finding a solution to their problem in front of goal, but was the answer already in their camp in Majoro?
What are your thoughts on this, could Chiefs have done with Majoro right now?
