'Moses' Arrives On The Big Stage
During the group stage of the tournament, there was a call from fans to include Lorch in Bafana's starting XI, and former Mzansi coach Stuart Baxter subsequently caved in as a result.

Thrown into the starting line-up against the Pharaohs, Lorch earned the nickname "Moses" after his goal ensured that South Africa progressed to the quarter-finals at the Egyptians' expense.
