He is living a good life, having recently penned a lucrative five-year deal with reigning Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns, but it wasn’t always smooth sailing for Gaston Sirino, who recently shared a touching story on how his family escaped poverty.
Sirino has established himself as a vital cog for the Brazilians over the last two seasons, so it comes as no surprise that he was rewarded with a new deal.
Pitso Mosimane has showed his faith in the Uruguayan sensation and he has repaid ‘Jingles’ faith with one scintillating performance after the other.
In a recent Instagram post, Sirino’s fiancé Melania shared a touching story on how the couple started out with nothing nine years ago, only having each other, while trying to navigate life in Chile with their newborn daughter.
“Almost 9 years ago we were together, 8 years ago we went in search of a better life from a dream, we went to Chile with little very little, so little was it and so bad we were that we never made ends meet, we did not know manage ourselves. I was 16 with my newborn Maithe, the 3 without knowing anything about life in a country that was not ours learning to be mom and you dad, from very little to little we were growing up.
“We had our first car an old Nissan, we had boxes like tables and an armchair that we covered with a sheet to make it look prettier, that if it is nice it is beautiful to have lived all that we went through so much.
Today it is so satisfying to see everything we have built together, to have our own home having everything we always dream of, sitting next to the stove looking at each other and laughing because you both know that we would never have imagined having everything we have and being so happy with our daughters. It fills my soul! We built everything together, hand in hand, and this is how it will always be, at each step, in each victory, in each defeat together and with God on our side, as we have been doing for 9 years. I love you,” she wrote on the couple’s joint Instagram account.
