If you think about great comebacks in modern football, perhaps the FC Barcelona 6-2 victory is the one that most easily springs to mind. However, this Liverpool star has recently shown that the greatest comeback in football this season, might not even be on the football pitch.
So much has been said about Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side and all they have managed to achieve over the last two seasons or so.
From breaking their 30-year drought to lift the Premier League, to winning the UEFA Champions League in fine style two seasons ago, fans were fast running out of superlatives for this great team.
Even more remarkable for Liverpool has been the rise of Xherdan Shaqiri, both on and off the field.
While he has been a peripheral figure for Klopp on the field, often being used as an impact player- it is off the field where he has experienced the most growth.
After sporting a seriously receding hairline in recent times, ‘Big Shaq’ left fans in awe when he sported a head full of hair.
He is not the only player said to have undergone a hair transplant though. His manager Klopp is believed to have undergone a similar procedure while on the books of Borussia Dortmund.
Check out Shaqiri’s remarkable hair recovery.
