What’s the story?
It can be said that many footballers in the PSL dream of securing top deals with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Orland Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The player in question is that of Cape Town City defender Taariq Fielies, who recently opened up about the possibilities of plying his trade in Gauteng in the near future.
From CPT To Jozi
Now at the age of 28, Fielies has grown leaps and bounds in the PSL with the Cape Town-based outfit, considering that he played a large part of his career with Milano United in lower divisions.
The lanky defender recently racked up 100 appearances for the Citizens, along with Craig Martin whose story has inspired many young talents who wish to become professional footballers one day.
That being said, Fielies often takes to his Instagram account in uploading images of himself and from time to time, showcases his humble Volkswagen Polo.
Fielies can be seen cruising around in the humbler mk4 version of the popular ride which in today’s market can be picked up for as little as R50 000.
The Polo is one of the most popular vehicles among footballers today, with many opting for some of the new versions while some, like Fielies, still own older models.
