What’s the story?
As mentioned, footballers are known for going big and bold with their vehicle choices,whether its fast sportscars or lavish SUVs. Vehicles such as the Volkswagen Golf GTI, BMW M Series or the Range Rover, these are all deemed as ‘footballer’s favourites.’
Hot Ride, Cheap Ride
There are however a select few who like to get around in an understated manner. For example, former Kaizer Chiefs fan favourite Siphiwe Tshabalala may have had an impressive car collection throughout his career, however the star also goes from A to B in an Opel Corsa bakkie.
As for the player in question, Mntambo falls into that category. The Pirates midfielder took to his Instagram account earlier this month where he was seen filling up his fuel tank.
Figo’s Figo
In taking a look at the car he was driving, a little Ford Figo, it can be said that filling up would be less taxing on the wallet as opposed to the rides previously mentioned.
The Figo has a starting price of around R188 000, with top of the range models available for some R230 000 onward, according to the automaker’s website.
