Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar recently made headlines when he ended his long-term relationship with Nike to sign for sportswear giant PUMA. British publication The Sun recently drew up a list of the most expensive boot deals in the game today, with Neymar said to earn £23 million a year (R488 million) from his PUMA contract.

When it comes to Nike, "CR7" and Mbappe reign supreme. In 2016, Ronaldo signed a lifetime contract with the brand and his current deal sees him pocket £15 million per year (R318 million).
As for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, Mbappe put pen to paper on a 10-year deal with Nike, which sees him earn £14 million (R297 million) a year.
