Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been a breath of fresh air for Orlando Pirates both on and off the pitch since joining from Maritzburg United in October. The gigantic keeper recently gave fans a taste of his fashion sense when he displayed his travel luggage worth a staggering R67 000!
To usurp one of last season’s best performing shot-stoppers in Wayne Sandilands is one thing, but to do it in fine style is different matter altogether, but this has been the tale of Ofori, who has quickly endeared himself to the Bucs faithful.
With all the noise surrounding Ofori, Pirates fans are justified in singing the 26-year-old’s praises.
In the five matches that he has featured for the Buccaneers, he has kept three clean sheets and conceded only two goals in the process, which is music to the ears of any Pirates fan whose club have had their fair share of goalkeeping drama since the passing of Senzo Meyiwa in 2014.

Off the field, Ofori refers to himself as a quiet person; “I’m someone who doesn’t talk too much, I only observe,” he told Pirates’ website in his first official interview with the club.
In stark contrast, Ofori is quite loud when it comes to his fashion off the field. A quick glance at the Ghanaian’s Instagram page and his penchant for fashion is clear to see.
A clear indication of this was his latest post in which he showed off his lavish Louis Vuitton travel gear. In the picture, a meticulously dressed Ofori can be seen posing alongside his matching bags.
On further investigation, it is clear to see that Ofori did not spare any expense when it comes to his choice in travel accessories.
According to Vuitton’s official website, Ofori’s backpack is worth a whopping €1430 (R25807,04). As if that is not enough, his roller bag, which is worth €2300 (R41507,82) certainly is no child’s play.
