If there is one good thing that has come from the lack of activity in the PSL, it is the recovery of Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana defender Thapelo Morena.
The defender underwent surgery early in February following a horrific injury sustained in a match against SuperSport United.
Sundowns confirmed that Morena will miss the rest of the season after suffering an ankle fracture and ligament damage.
The 26-year-old was discharged from hospital after undergoing successful surgery.
There was more good news for the former Bloemfontein Celtic speedster after it was revealed that the cast had been removed from his leg and he would now be using a moon boot.
Morena sent out an optimistic message to fans and colleagues alike, thanking them for their well wishes during this time.
“God is great . I would like to thank everyone who took their time to check up on me and kept me in their prayers. Slowly but surely I will get there,” he wrote.
Do you think Morena will return to his best after this injury?
