Kerr Goes Into The Depths Of Soweto With The Fans

Moroka Swallows boss Dylan Kerr recently helped his side avoid relegation in the play-offs and upon an emotionally charged encounter, the coach shared a really special moment with the Dube Birds faithful!

The 55-year was visibly emotional after his side retained their spot in the DStv Premiership when they beat the University of Pretoria 1-0 on Wednesday.

In his post-match interview, the Malta-born coach expressed his gratitude to the supporters and urged many of them to pack stadiums next season. That would be later followed up with some interaction with the supporters, not knowing how far the bond would go!

What's the story?

Kerr, alongside a group of club supporters, headed out to a pub out in Moletsane, Soweto called Peters Place for a wholesome session of banter and laughter. The manager can be seen casually enjoying his time with the fans while seated at a table.

In the end, it's all smiles and hugs as the Beautiful Birds cap off a bitter-sweet 2021/22 campaign. It is unclear whether Kerr will continue on the club as his sentiments after the match seemed to suggest that nothing is certain in that regard.

A former baller!

During his playing days, the manager played in the left-back position in a lengthy 20-year career that began in 1983 and ended in 2003, according to Transfermarkt. During that period, he played for the likes of Leeds United, Reading, and Sheffield Wednesday among others.

Have your say...
