What’s the story?

Earlier this week, the Super Eagles made headlines as they managed to overcome one of the tournament’s elite sides, beating Egypt 1-0 in their first group stage match. The game saw Kelechi Iheanacho’s effort in the 30th minute being enough to see off The Pharaohs.

Winning Ways

Nigeria will now turn their attention to their match against Sudan on Saturday evening, with Bucs and Chiefs fans no doubt keeping tabs on whether their club’s players will feature for the national side.

For Akpeyi, the Amakhosi man has long been in his national team fold, while Ndah’s sparkling performances for the Buccaneers warranted him a call-up to the Nigerian side.

Family Business

The Chiefs goalkeeper recently took to his Instagram account where he uploaded a photo of himself posing alongside Ndah, as they put their club rivalry aside as teammates of their national team. As enemies in local football, Akpeyi captioned his post by saying “Now it’s family business” after linking up.
