With football in the country still taking an enforced hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, one Mamelodi Sundowns megastar treated himself to not one, not two but three brand new tattoos, spending more than 10 hours getting tatted.
Having finished as the Brazilians’ top goal scorer last season, former Maritzburg United attacker Lebohang Maboe has managed just one so far this season.
Perhaps his underwhelming return has inspired the attacker’s latest ink work on his body.
Maboe had three new tattoo designs permanently engraved into his body.
The first being lettering across his chest which reads, “with pain comes strength,” a tattoo that took three hours to complete.
Next up for the Bafana Bafana attacker was the artistic rose and clock design, something that also required three hours of excruciating pain.
The last and perhaps the longest of Maboe’s ink was the lettering “chase your dreams,” which was accompanied by dice, a deck of cards and a few chess pieces.
The man responsible for the Downs attacker’s ink is Kgosi Makatika who goes by the name @mr_sparks_010 on Instagram.
