What’s the story?
During his time in his first spell in PSL football, Ekstein grew into being one of the most popular players in the country. His skilful displays were constantly grabbed in clips and shared on social media, with many appreciating the Kasi flavour he brings to the game.
Ekstein Abroad
Pule, as he is known locally, plied his trade for Kaizer Chiefs between 2014 and 2019, before he made the move abroad. The midfielder then signed for Sabah in the Azerbaijan Premier League and later joined Sabail FK in the same division.
Now 31, Ekstein returned to SA football and signed with coach Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu, a team said to be on the rise in the PSL.
It was later revealed that the Bafana Bafana legend often kept in touch with the former Chiefs star while he plied his trade in Azerbaijan and mentioned that he is a star he always wanted to work with.
Fashion Fire
That said, Coach Benni will no doubt look to his flair to be the difference as Usuthu climb the ranks in local football. When it comes to style, Ekstein keeps the same energy both on and off the field of play.
