World Class Lifestyle: Magical Messi’s Fantasy Houses & Cars

In honour of Lionel Messi's FIFA World Cup triumph, the iconic figure is the latest to join the Soccer Laduma Big Ballers Club.

Check it out!

What's the story?

After helping his nation to its third FIFA World Cup crown, it seems fitting to look at the lavish lifestyle of the great Lionel Messi.

The Argentine magician is one of the richest players on the planet and has a fleet of luxury rides and up-market properties in several countries.

Let's take a closer look at his expensive cars and houses.

Big Ballers Club: Lionel Messi

PSG star and Argentina skipper Lionel Messi became a World Champions yesterday. The Albicelestes won their third World Cup crown after a 4-2 penalties (3-3 AET) win over 2018 winners France.

In what's already being regarded as one of the greatest finals of all time, Messi produced an unreal display by bagging a brace and walking away with his second Golden Ball accolade.

Away from the pitch, there's nothing surprising about the extraordinary houses and cars owned by Messi. Forbes stated that Messi earned $130 million (R2.2 billion) in pre-tax gross earnings over the last 12 months, making him the highest paid athlete of 2022.

According to Architectural Digest (AD), Messi has expanded his ever-growing property portfolio.

In his hometown of Rosario, Argentina's third largest City, Messi built a huge estate that spreads across three plots of land and features a large movie theater, a gym, and an underground garage that could fit over ten cars.

In Paris, Messi is renting a pad in Villes de Neuilly in Paris, close to the Parc des Princes Stadium for R378 641 per-month according to the U.S SUN.

As per therealdeal.com, Messi also reportedly bought an Ibiza mansion for $11.18 million (R193 million) this year. The footballing icon also invested in a US property in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

Back in 2019, the condo at the glitzy Porsche Design Tower reportedly cost the 35-year-old $5 million. Last year, Messi purchased an entire ninth floor of a Regalia condo tower for $7.3 million, which isn't far from his Sunny Isles Beach condo.

Messi's property investment could be a hint that he's eyeing an MLS move, with David Beckham's Inter Miami reportedly eyeing the signature of the ex-Barcelona mega star.

Speaking of the pride of Catalonia, while Messi was at the club, he was staying in a Castelldefels pad for over a decade, that he paid $2 million for in 2009 according to AD, it's located in the same suburb Neymar lived in during his stint at Barca.

The estate also has a current estimated value of $7 million (R121.1 million).

When it comes to cars, Messi takes it to a completely different level. According to Goal.com, Messi owns three Audis, a RS6, A7 and Q7.

He also boasts an Mercedes SLS AMG, Maserati Grand Turismo, two Range Rovers (Sport Vogue), Cadillac Escalade and two Ferraris - an F430 Spyder and a 335 S Spider Spaglietti, the latter costs around R621.9 million.
