EX-BIG Brother Mzansi star Mishack "Mich" Mazibuko makes his father proud.

Mich said his dad, who is in prison, called him after he saw him on TV as part of Big Brother Mzansi season 4.

The 23-year-old from Mbombela in Mpumalanga said his dad was even bragging to other inmates about how proud he was after he saw him as the MC at one of the SABC events on Sunday, 28 April.

This was for the Metro FM Music Awards, where he was the all-white party MC alongside media personality Somizi Mhlongo.

Mich told Daily Sun that he was happy his dad finally saw him in his element.

"When my dad saw me on TV at the after-party, everything changed. He's such a great man and a proud father," he said.

Mich said his dad's arrest made things difficult at home.

"We had everything at home, and we lost it when my dad was jailed in 2015. Now, my father is happy that I'm taking care of his family. I'm happy to be doing what he used to do for us," he said.

Mich started working at the age of 16, and fame found him when he was already a hustler.

"I've been doing lots of different jobs around Mpumalanga. I've been washing cars, washing sneakers, and doing events while being an MC. I'm also a student at the University of Mpumalanga," Mich said.

He said he's grateful for the opportunities that came through his hard work.

"I'm proud to be representing Mpumalanga. My dream is to one day join the SABC. I'll keep winning, and I know I'll join big channels. I'm proud of myself and the things I've achieved so far.

"Big Brother Mzansi changed my life a lot. This made me feel good about my journey in the entertainment industry," he said.
