Orlando Pirates secured three points with a 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday night. Milutin Sredojevic's side got off to a bright start, with Ghanaian forward Bernard Morrison's first-half goal sealing the victory for the Mayfair-based team.
However, these two supporters believe that while they were impressed with the performance of the players, there is still more improvements to be made.
"Credit to the team and the technical team, the boys played really well last night. Morrison is definitely a player to look out for this season. I think the (Rhulani) Mokwena factor is starting to be apparent in the way that we play. I still think that the technical team needs to give Justice Chabalala a run, the boy is a solid defender. The other player who needs to be a part of that starting XI is Thabiso Kutumela. Maela is proving to be a very valuable part of that squad with an equally good replacement in Marc van Heerden. Sandilands inspires confidence in that defence. Otherwise a great improvement from the way we were playing last season." – OnceandAlways
"Three points in the bag for Pirates but we played in patches. I worry that against the bigger and better sides, we might get exposed. Pairing Jele and Nyauza in the heart of the defence against players like Brockie or Tau, hmmmmm, asazi. Anyway, it was an OK performance." – Flash Mabuza
