On Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs travelled away to the Peter Mokaba Stadium where they were hosted by Baroka FC in an ABSA Premiership encounter. The home side began the match with a bright start, but the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Steve Komphela's men are now three points adrift of log leaders Cape Town City, while Baroka remain rock-bottom on the standings.
The Amakhosi faithful expressed their concerns with their beloved team drawing with a relegation-threatened side, and some, once again, called for head coach Komphela to be relieved of his duties.
"Well, I'm a Khosi fan but from last season to next season my support is on pause until Komphela is released from his duties; one more painful season to go and he will be gone, but for now I'm on pause." – big_sykes10
"Just when I thought Chiefs have improved, they can't defeat struggling teams. Ajax Cape Town, Orlando Pirates, now it's Baroka. All these teams are struggling but Chiefs couldn't beat them. What’s next? I wish Chiefs' management can think about fans and the brand. We are fed up! Bobby, please open your cheque book to buy a quality coach and quality players. It took years to develop this Chiefs brand, please Bobby, don't destroy it in two years." – Thokozisbp@gmail.com
"Our centre backs didn't come to the party, they really cost us as Khosi nation." – phefeni boy
Amakhosi's next league encounter is against African champions Mamelodi Sundowns in a home game on 1 April.
