Indications are that SuperSport United are likely to hold onto experienced defender Thulani Hlatshwayo for at least another season.

The 34-year-old’s contract is due to expire at the end of June and there have been no discussions yet over a new deal, with SuperSport focused on ending the season, as a second-place finish and the Nedbank Cup are still up for grabs.

Hlatshwayo, who was named SuperSport’s Player of the Season last term, also recently returned from injury and is working tirelessly to ensure he convinces management that he is worthy of a new deal.
