The Siya crew has been led to believe that one of Kaizer Chiefs' defenders has enhanced his chances of getting a new contract at the end of the season.
Amakhosi have quite a few players with contracts expiring at the end of the campaign and one who has a good chance of securing a new deal is versatile defender Edmilson Dove, who has been in good form for the club of late.

The player's two-year contract is due to expire in June 2024 and indications are that management are leaning more towards a new deal for the player as they see him as someone who can add value at the club beyond the end of the current campaign.
In the absence of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, the Mozambican international has been playing as a left-sided centre back and Amakhosi have kept two consecutive clean sheets, against Moroka Swallows and Polokwane City.
It's believed that Amakhosi management has been impressed with the performances of the former Cape Town City defender and there is a good chance that he will be offered a new deal at Naturena.
The 29-year-old has played four of the five matches interim coach Cavin Johnson has been in charge of and is expected to play a big role as the Soweto giants look to have a strong second half of the season, after the first half saw head coach Molefi Ntseki getting the sack.

Dove is expected to feature again for Amakhosi when they take on Richards Bay in their penultimate PSL game of 2023, at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
