Before completing his loan transfer to Getafe, a number of big European teams reportedly rejected the opportunity to sign Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood.

After the charges of attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault against him were dropped earlier this year, the 21-year-old was cleared to continue his playing career following the Red Devils' internal investigation into the matter.
While United themselves did not find the striker guilty of any wrongdoing, they did admit that it would be best for all involved if Greenwood restarted his career away from Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, the England international was offered to a plethora of European giants. Teams such as Brentford, Borussia Dortmund, AS Roma and AC Milan were all given the chance to sign the youngster, but all of them are said to have rejected the opportunity to make the acquisition as they did not think it would be in their best interest to acquire his services.
Instead, it was LALIGA side Getafe who have taken the risk to sign Greenwood, with the Spanish having have completed a season-long loan deal for the player.

United are still, however, believed to be paying at least two-thirds of the attacker's wages, while also funding a six-bedroom villa and a private translator for the player while he is in Spain.
