After looking at the youngest players to have appeared in the PSL the season, we now look at the oldest.
Every team is comprised of a healthy mixture of youth and experienced and it is these experienced campaigners that will provide the necessary guidance for their youthful teammates to thrive.

Siyabonga Nomvethe is currently the most seasoned veteran in the league, with the former Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows striker running out for AmaZulu against Chippa United at the age of 38 years 8 months and 20 days. Behind Nomvethe is Bidvest Wits goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs, who was 37 years 3 months and 4 days old when turning out for The Students against Free State Stars. On the other side in that 2-2 draw was Rooi Mahamutsa, who was 35 years 9 months and 28 days old when running out for Free State Stars in the 2-2 draw.
Rounding off the top five are Cape Town City’s Shuaib Walters (35 years 7 months and 28 days old) and Bidvest Wits’ Steven Pienaar (35 years 5 months and 6 days old), who played in the games against Platinum Stars and Free State Stars respectively.
Other players that fell into the top 10 include the likes of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Jabulani Maluleke and Mabhuti Khenyeza.
