SuperSport To Open Up Talks With Masango’s Club
SuperSport United Will Be Engaging With Mandla Masango's Club
SuperSport United are expected to open up talks with Mandla Masango’s parent club, Randers, as they look to test the waters regarding a move for the player.
Masango joined SuperSport back in January on a loan until the end of the 2016/17 season, with the 27-year-old scoring four goals in 17 domestic games as he played his part in their Nedbank Cup triumph.
The former Kaizer Chiefs man still has one year left to run on his contract with the Danish club and although it remains to be seen whether they have plans to use him, they have told him to report back for pre-season training according to SAFA.
Having spoken to Matsatsantsa’s CEO, Stan Matthews, the Siya crew have had it confirmed that the club will be pursuing the players signature, albeit possibly on another loan deal.
Matthews said, “I’m going to engage with his club about prolonging his stay with us, but to be honest it will all depend on the financials. It might be that another loan move is possible for him.”
Masango’s loan with SuperSport will officially come to an end tomorrow, with the player then being expected to return to Europe where his team are preparing for the new season.
