Former Dikwena Defender Wins R500 000 DRC Case
PSL DRC Victory For Former Platinum Stars Defender
Former Platinum Stars defender, Rofhiwa Tshikovhi, will be smiling all the way to the bank after winning his case with the Premier Soccer League’s Dispute Resolution Chamber.
Tshikovhi’s representatives have confirmed that the matter between the centre-back and Stars has been concluded. The player had been in a contractual dispute with the club.
Following the defender’s departure from Dikwena at the end of last season, the club was taken to the PSL’s DRC by the player and his representatives for allegedly not fulfilling their contractual obligations.
Tshikovhi’s agent from Rush Hour Sports Management, Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi, confirmed that the case has been concluded.
“Platinum Stars have agreed to pay Rofhiwa Tshikovhi for the contractual dispute he had with the club. They have agreed to pay R500 000. The matter has been at the PSL DRC. Initially, they (Stars) offered to pay R300 000 but we rejected that. The matter was finalised yesterday (Wednesday).
“We took almost the entire day yesterday discussing it and in the end an agreement was reached. The player is going to be paid what is due to him. The PSL has ruled that the money should be paid in two instalments and it’s starting at the end of this month. The matter that is still outstanding is that of my agent fees from the deal but we are on it,” said Mulovhedzi.
