PSL’s DRC Ruling On Stars Case
Platinum Stars In Trouble For Former Player
Platinum Stars have lost the Premier Soccer League’s Dispute Resolution Chamber case they had against one of their former players.
Dikwena were taken to the PSL’s DRC by Rofhiwa Tshikovhi and his representatives for the defender’s departure from the club. The centre-back parted ways with the North West club at the end of last season.
The player’s representatives took the club to the PSL’s DRC for allegedly backtracking from its contractual obligations. It has been confirmed to the Siya crew from sources close to Stars that the club has lost the case.
According to sources, Stars have been ordered to pay the player outstanding monies owed to him from the contract he had with the club.
“Platinum Stars have lost the case against their former player, Rofhiwa Tshikovhi. One of the club’s officials was affected by the outcome. The player’s camp has been patient with the club and the official in explaining to them that they wanted the matter to be discussed and sorted amicably. It wasn’t to be as it ended up in court. In the end, the club has offered to pay around R300 000. But that has been rejected from the player’s camp,” said the source.
As confirmed by Stars earlier today, the club has parted ways with Senzo Mazingiza, who has been their general manager.
