Bucs Could Go Top Of The Log
Pirates Visit Maritzburg For Top Of The Table Clash
Orlando Pirates could go to the top of the log going into the weekend, should they win their upcoming game.
The Buccaneers are currently sat in second place on the Absa Premiership standings, although they are tied on the same number of points with leaders, Maritzburg United.
Bucs visit Maritzburg in their league outing and Coach Milutin Sredojevic, and his team, will know that they have a chance to topple the KwaZulu-Natal outfit on Friday and move to the summit of the log.
Both Pirates and Maritzburg have won two and drawn one game each, from their three league games played to date. Both teams have collected seven points out of a possible nine.
Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Town City and SuperSport United have each collected six points. However, 10th placed Polokwane City could leapfrog the teams, with seven points, on Friday, depending on the result in their fixture with Ajax Cape Town.
Pirates lost 2-1 in their first round league game against Maritzburg at the Harry Gwala Stadium last season.
