Bucs’ Selection Headache For Micho As Stars Return
Pirates Finalising Preparations For Polokwane
Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and his technical team at Orlando Pirates will have a variety of options when selecting their 18-man matchday squad for the weekend, as almost all the players are available for selection.
Pirates aim to return to winning ways in their next match, after losing against Bidvest Wits last weekend. The Buccaneers have been boosted in their preparations for the next match with the return of Thamsanqa Sangweni and Riyaad Norodien from injury.
The two stars featured in the team’s friendly match against ABC Motsepe League outfit, Baberwa FC, on Wednesday.
Other Bucs players such as Abbubaker Mobara and Ayanda Nkosi, who have been notable absentees from Micho’s line-ups in recent matches, were also given a run against the third tier opponents yesterday.
Pirates beat Baberwa 3-2 with Thamsanqa Gabuza and Bernard Morrison among the goal scorers. Polokwane City is next on Bucs’ schedule for their league match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
