Orlando Pirates Pay Tribute To Alex Revoredo
Orlando Pirates paid tribute to the late goalkeeper coach, Alex Revoredo.
The Brazilian mentor was the goalkeeper coach at Kaizer Chiefs and had been with the club since last year.
Revoredo previously also worked as a goalkeeper coach for Chiefs’ perennial rivals, Orlando Pirates.
During his time with the Buccaneers, Revoredo coached experienced goalkeepers such as Moeneeb Josephs and the late Senzo Meyiwa.
Bucs joined the football fraternity in mourning the passing of the coach.
“It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing away of our former goalkeeper coach Alex Revoredo. From all of us at Orlando Pirates Football Club, we convey our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the Revoredo family and pledge our profound moral support. We supplicate that God gives you fortitude at this moment of your extreme grief and pain. Alex was a man who loved his job and someone who always brightened up the change room with his bubbly character. Vai bem meu amigo,” Bucs wrote on the club’s official website.
