Pirates' Second Major Signing
Orlando Pirates Have Announced Wayne Sandilands Signing
Orlando Pirates announced the signing of Wayne Sandilands.
Sandilands is the second major signing for Pirates, following the announcement of Thamsanqa Sangweni by the club. The goalkeeper recently saw his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns come to an end.
He was linked with a move to Maritzburg United, although Pirates edged their PSL rivals and have now completed the signing, adding him to their roster for the 2017/18 season.
With the signing of Sandilands, the Buccaneers now have five first team goalkeepers, namely; Brighton Mhlongo, Jackson Mabokgwane, Siyabonga Mpontshane and Nigerian Emmanuel Daniel.
The club will be expected to make further changes to its goalkeeping department, as the technical team is unlikely to retain all five goalkeepers for next season.
