Bucs’ Micho: Foster Impact Good For SA

Orlando Pirates Coach Heaps Praise On Young Star

By Soccer Laduma - Sep 20, 2017 10:45 AM

Orlando Pirates head coach, Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, has praised the team’s young star, Lyle Foster, for his performance in last night’s game against Cape Town City.

Foster, 17, had the best game of his PSL career thus far, against the Mother City outfit at FNB Stadium. Having been introduced by the Serbian coach early in the second half against City, the young forward was immediately involved in the action as he showed signs of brilliance with his runs into spaces throughout his time on the field.

The recently promoted youngster subsequently provided an assist for Thabo Qalinge, who scored Bucs’ all-important goal that won them the match to move to the top of the Absa Premiership log.

After the game, Sredojevic praised Foster and said his progress is not only good for Bucs but for the country. Foster is an integral member of the Amajita setup.

Micho tactics are working very well for the Mighty Bucs and the country as well for believing in the development programme. If Foster is natured correctly we will see another Benni. Remember when Jomo first called up Benni to be set up if Bafana for Continental games with Bafana was wildly criticised for promoting Pre-School programme. It was only after the then youngster (Benni) single handedly demolished Namibian National team when others started to notice young stars roles in big games. Good game Foster and tactical coach who risk putting the young star in the most important game against the on form Citizens. All I can say is"What a player! What a coach".

For my part I like what Micho is doing with the boy He introduced him against Maritzburg and gave him 5 or 10 minutes and now he has given him more time. Please guys let us give the coach the opportunity to develop this player without calling for him to start the player as that will put too much pressure on the player himself. That will lead to his demise. Let him learn the rigours of professional football this season so that he can have a brighter future
