Orlando Pirates Appear Before PSL DC
The Premier Soccer League have confirmed that Orlando Pirates have appeared before the Disciplinary Committee with regards to the supporter's behaviour against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Back in February, Pirates supporters invaded the pitch during their side's 6-0 drubbing at the hands of the Brazilians.
The PSL have now confirmed that the Soweto Giants did appear before the DRC, who will also hear the charges against Mamelodi Sundowns for failing to provide adequate security.
The statement read,"Orlando Pirates FC appeared before the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee on charges relating to spectator misbehaviour during the Absa Premiership fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns on 11 February 2017.
All the parties made representation to the Disciplinary Committee panel.
The chairman of the Disciplinary Committee has reserved judgement to a date to be announced soon.
The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee will also sit to hear the charges against Mamelodi Sundowns. Mamelodi Sundowns were charged with failure to provide adequate security at the same match. This charge will be dealt with presently.
As this matter is sub judice, the Premier Soccer League will make no further comment on this."
