PSL Awards Nominee Secures MLS Move
Michael Boxall, After Leaving Supersport United, Has Secured A Move To Minnesota United
Michael Boxall, who was last night in the running for a gong at the PSL Awards, has secured a move to Major League Soccer outfit, Minnesota United.
The 28-year-old left SuperSport United this month after failing to agree to terms regarding a contract extension and wasted no time in finding a new club on his return from the FIFA Confederations Cup.
Boxall missed out on winning the Telkom Knockout Player of the Tournament to Aubrey Ngoma on Monday evening, however, won’t be letting that dampen his mood as he prepares to team up with his new teammates in Minneapolis.
Having formerly played for Vancouver Whitecaps, the MLS will be familiar territory for the tall defender and he will be hoping to hit the ground running when United return to action next week against Houston Dynamo.
The versatile defender has signed an 18-month deal with the American club that will see him through until the end of the 2018 season.
