City Star Goes For Op, Downs Move In Jeopardy?

Mamelodi Sundowns Target Aubrey Ngoma Will Go Under The Knife Today

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 04, 2017 05:29 PM
Mamelodi Sundowns target, Aubrey Ngoma, went under the knife today to undergo surgery on his knee after picking up an injury on international duty.

The 27-year-old had a stellar 2016/17 season with Cape Town City alongside Lebogang Manyama and received national team recognition with Stuart Baxter’s side as a reward for his performances.

However, Ngoma has now been ruled out for around three months with a knee injury that requires an operation and will miss the start of the 2017/18 campaign as he does his rehabilitation.

Sundowns are known to be big admirers of the former Orlando Pirates man, and prior to his injury, it is thought that they were making good progress in terms of bringing him on board.

While Masandawana will no doubt still be interested in acquiring the Bafana Bafana’s international’s signature, it remains to be seen if they will still be able to get a deal over the line given his injury setback.

Ngoma is only expected back playing around October, although he will be eager to make a quick recovery as he looks to continue his fine form of late.

Tshwarelo Bereng impressed against Chiefs last year in an Absa Premiership match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium when Bereng terrorised the Glamour Boys by scoring one goal and setting up the others for striker Lerato Manzini as Amakhosi lost 3-1. And now, according to an insider, Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has instructed his brother, who lives in Ventersdorp, to tempt Bereng to Naturena. “Apparently, Steve Komphela's younger brother lives in Ventersdorp where Bereng comes from, and Steve has been communicating with his brother to say he [Bereng] mustn't go anywhere and he wants him at Chiefs,” the source told Indidane

In my openion,Ngoma will not fit in other big team,he is good there where he is,there is nothing special about him,it just that he was in a good form at cape town city under clever coach Tinkler.
