Mamelodi Sundowns New Signing Is Eager To Defend Titles
Mamelodi Sundowns new signing, Brimah Razak says that he is proud to have joined the CAF Champions League winners as he looks towards helping the team defend their title.
Sundowns confirmed the signing of Razak last week, August 01, where the Brazilians completed their first transfer ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Following the departure of Wayne Sandilands, Head Coach Pitso Mosimane moved quickly to bolster his goalkeeping department by acquiring the signing of the experienced 30-year-old who previously plied his trade in the Spanish La Liga second tier for Cordoba CF.
Speaking to Sundowns’ official website, the shot-stopper says that he looks forward to impressing Head Coach Mosimane and competing with Denis Onyango for the number one spot.
“I am here to bring my experience, and look forward to showing the coach what I am capable of, and that I am good enough to be here. I need to convince the coach that I am good and he will decide who to field. He is great, and I want to compete with the best. That is how you grow,” he added.
Sundowns will get their 2017/18 campaign underway this weekend, August 13, in the quarter-finals of the 2017 MTN8 competition, where they will welcome Maritzburg United to their home ground.
