Departure Details Of Chiefs Youngster’s Exit
Kaizer Chiefs Have Parted Ways With Young Midfielder
Kaizer Chiefs have released young Mpho Khumalo, who has since joined Mthatha Bucks for the 2017/18 season.
While the Eastern Cape-based NFD side has already unveiled the youngster, Khumalo’s move to the club has not been clearly explained – whether he joined on loan or on permanent deal.
Khumalo’s agent, Gerald Baloyi, has officially confirmed the player’s departure from Chiefs, as reported in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma.
“Mpho Khumalo received his clearance from Chiefs and has joined Mthatha Bucks as a free agent. So, it’s a permanent deal. He has signed a one-year deal with Bucks. We would like to thank Chiefs for the opportunity they have given the player at the club,” said Baloyi.
The attacking midfielder was an influential player in Chiefs’ MultiChoice Diski Challenge team, however has since moved on. The Pimville-born player has joined the likes of Luthando Sixhaso and Surprise Khopotse, who have been released from Amakhosi, while Sibongiseni Ngcobo and Itumeleng Shopane have been loaned out.
