Former Boca Juniors Striker Arrives For Chiefs Assessment
Kaizer Chiefs Are Taking A Look At An Argentinian Striker
Argentinian striker, Jonatan Philippe, has touched down in South Africa and is due to be assessed by Kaizer Chiefs.
The 29-year-old, who was playing for Agrotikos Asteras in the Greek Second Division last season, landed in South Africa this week and the Siya crew have been informed that he is expected to join up with the Amakhosi next week as he looks to impress Steve Komphela.
Philippe is a former Boca Juniors forward who can play as a striker or on the right wing and has plied his trade in Greece, El Salvador, Argentina, Colombia and Paraguay in recent years.
The forward scored nine goals for Agrotikos last season - including a hat-trick last month - and Komphela will be hoping that he can provide the goalscoring threat that the club seemed to lack last season.
